1. The agreement
These Terms govern your use of CourtSide — the apps and services at tennis.courtsideapp.io and courtsideapp.io. By creating an account or using CourtSide, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement. If you don't agree, don't use CourtSide.
2. Who can use CourtSide
You must be at least 18 and a parent or legal guardian to create a family account. Children do not create accounts or log in; player profiles exist under the parent's account and are entered and controlled by the parent. Coach and academy accounts are provisioned separately under arrangements with their organization.
3. Your account
You're responsible for your account credentials and for the accuracy of the information you enter. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. One family account per family is the intended model; don't share credentials with people outside your household.
4. Your family owns the record
The match data, journal entries, and development history you create in CourtSide belong to your family. This is a contractual commitment, not a slogan:
- We will never withhold your family's own records from you. Paid tiers, if and when they exist, gate analysis features — never your own data.
- You may export your family's data (see the Privacy Policy's retention and deletion section).
- You grant CourtSide a limited license to host, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the service for you. We claim no ownership of it, and this license ends when your content is deleted.
5. Academy and coach access — the boundary
Coach and academy visibility into your family's data is governed by the category rules in the Privacy Policy ("Who can see your family's data"), including the plain-language disclosure that charted mental state is part of the match record visible to academy staff. Those rules are part of these Terms. In particular:
- No coach or academy sees anything about an unaffiliated family.
- Affiliation requires your explicit confirmation — at signup through an academy invitation, or later in the app if your academy joins and requests the connection. No connection is ever executed on prior consent alone.
- Reports generated before affiliation belong to your family permanently; reports generated after affiliation belong to the academy. Affiliation changes visibility per the category rules; it never transfers ownership of pre-affiliation reports.
- Academies and coaches agree to use family data solely for coaching and program purposes within CourtSide.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse CourtSide. That includes: attempting to access other families' data, circumventing access controls, uploading content you don't have the right to upload, uploading unlawful or harmful content, scraping, reselling access, or using the service to harass anyone. You're responsible for having the right to record and upload the video and photos you submit. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. AI features
CourtSide's AI features analyze tennis — match data and video you choose to submit. AI output can be wrong. It is informational, not professional advice: not medical advice, not mental-health guidance, not nutrition advice, and not a substitute for a qualified coach's judgment. Decisions about a player's training and health belong to you and the professionals you choose.
8. Fees
CourtSide is currently provided without charge during its pilot phase. If paid subscriptions are introduced, pricing and payment terms will be presented clearly before you're charged, and these Terms will be updated. Nothing about a paid tier will ever withhold your family's own records (Section 4).
9. Termination
You may stop using CourtSide and delete your account at any time (deletion per the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable. Sections 4 (your ownership), 10, and 11 survive termination.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
CourtSide is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep it accurate and reliable, but we don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that stats, measurements, and AI analysis are free of error. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CourtSide LLC's total liability arising from or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or $100 if you paid nothing), and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify CourtSide LLC against claims arising from your content or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas.
13. Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes, we'll notify you before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The current version always lives at this page.
